Privacy & Cookies
Short version: smartdok.lt doesn't track you, doesn't use cookies, and doesn't upload your files. Everything runs in your browser. There's no account, no email, no analytics.
Your files
Every conversion on this site runs entirely inside your browser using JavaScript and the local file APIs. There is no server-side processing. Your files are read from your device, processed by code running in your browser, and the result is offered as a download. Nothing is uploaded, copied, transmitted, or stored anywhere.
You can verify this yourself: open your browser's developer tools (right click → Inspect → Network tab), then convert a file. You will see the page load its assets when you first arrive, and then no further network traffic during the conversion itself. That's the privacy guarantee, made visible.
Cookies
This site doesn't set any cookies.
The only thing stored on your device is a single localStorage entry for your light/dark theme and language preference, so the site remembers your choices. These are UI settings, not trackers — they never leave your browser and are never read by anyone else.
Tracking and analytics
No analytics. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Matomo, no Fathom, nothing. The site doesn't measure visits, doesn't fingerprint browsers, and doesn't load any third-party scripts that would.
If that ever changes, this page will be updated and the change will be visible in the date above.
Third-party scripts
The conversion engines themselves are JavaScript libraries loaded from public CDNs. They run inside your browser and don't transmit your files anywhere. The libraries used are:
- pdf-lib, pdf.js, qpdf-wasm
- jspdf, mammoth, docx
- jszip, html2canvas, heic2any
- tesseract.js, ffmpeg.wasm, qrcode-generator
Your rights under GDPR
Because this site doesn't collect or process personal data, there isn't really anything to access, correct, or delete. If you have sent me a message and want it deleted from my inbox, email me at projects@drubs.tech and I'll remove it.
Children
The site is suitable for general audiences. It doesn't collect any data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If anything material changes — for example, if I ever add server-side processing or analytics — this page is updated, the date is bumped, and the change is described here.
