Frequently asked questions

How is this different from Smallpdf, iLovePDF, or Adobe?
Most of those services upload your file to a server, process it there, and send a result back. We don't. Every conversion here runs in your own browser using JavaScript and the local file APIs. No upload, no server-side processing, no logs. You can verify this in your browser's network tab while converting — the only traffic is loading the page itself.
Is it really free? What's the catch?
The basic file tools are free and stay free. There's no signup, no email harvesting, no upsell to a paid tier for basic conversions.
Will it work offline?
Once the page has loaded, conversions happen entirely on your device — you can disconnect from the internet and keep converting files.
Is there a file-size limit?
Not from us. The practical limit is your device's memory — modern browsers handle files in the hundreds of megabytes without issues on a laptop, somewhat less on a phone.
Why should I trust you?
Don't take our word for it — verify. Open your browser's Developer Tools, switch to the Network tab, and convert a file. You'll see the tool load static assets when you first arrive, and then no further traffic at all during the conversion.
